.

There it is, look at that.
That’s how you face such a world.

You must have LOVE in your heart for your life.
It is love versus hate.

I love my life, and the people in it.
Even Beatrice. And clear, not Portuguese, I’m in love with her Irma.
Milton. Shirley at the office, with Morty.
A tapestry, everything in it.
Even my glass eye, Dillenbeck’s dog, and the bouillabaisse we didn’t get to have.

Each one of us is given a tapestry, our own opera.
This person and this person.
Thinking about it.

Love is not enough, you’ve gotta fight to protect kindness.

You get attached to people and things, and they might just break your heart. But that’s being alive.

It's Okay, That's Love (괜찮아, 사랑이야) 2014

Hae-soo :

Hae-soo :
De qui as-tu appris cela~?

Jae-yeol :
Je l'ai appris de l'amour lui-même.

-----

Hae-soo :
Are you one of those love idealists too~?
Believing that love only brings happiness, joy, excitement, and courage~?

Jae-yeol :
It would also bring pain, resentment, suffering, sadness, despair, and misfortune...
But it would also give you the strength to overcome them.
That's what you call love.

Hae-soo :
Who did you learn that from~?

Jae-yeol :
I learned it from love.

.

If a picture paints a thousand words,
Then why can't I paint you~?

The words will never show the you I've come to know.

If a face could launch a thousand ships,
Then where am I to go~?
There's no one home but you,
You're all that's left me too.

And when my love for life is running dry,
You come and pour yourself on me.

If a man could be two places at one time, I'd be with you.
Tomorrow and today, beside you all the way.

If the world should stop revolving spinning slowly down to die,
I'd spend the end with you.
And when the world was through,

Then one by one the stars would all go out,
Then you and I would simply fly away~~~* ⭐️✨💗💕

Letter 678

From : Vincent van Gogh

To : Willemien van Gogh

Date: Arles, Sunday, 9 and about Friday, 14 September 1888

I’ve just finished a canvas of a café interior at night, lit by lamps. Some poor night-prowlers are sleeping in a corner. The room is painted red, and inside, in the gaslight, the green billiard table, which casts an immense shadow over the floor. In this canvas there are 6 or 7 different reds, from blood-red to delicate pink, contrasting with the same number of pale or dark greens.

....
....

I definitely want to paint a starry sky now. It often seems to me that the night is even more richly coloured than the day, coloured in the most intense violets, blues and greens.

....

If you look carefully you’ll see that some stars are lemony, others have a pink, green, forget-me-not blue glow. And without labouring the point, it’s clear that to paint a starry sky it’s not nearly enough to put white spots on blue-black.

.....

My house here is painted outside in the yellow of fresh butter, with garish green shutters, and it’s in the full sun on the square, where there’s a green garden of plane trees, oleanders, acacias. And inside, it’s all whitewashed, and the floor’s of red bricks. And the intense blue sky above. Inside, I can live and breathe, and think and paint.

....

On the terrace, there are little figures of people drinking. A huge yellow lantern lights the terrace, the façade, the pavement, and even projects light over the cobblestones of the street, which takes on a violet-pink tinge. The gables of the houses on a street that leads away under the blue sky studded with stars are dark blue or violet, with a green tree.

...

Now there’s a painting of night without black. With nothing but beautiful blue, violet and green, and in these surroundings the lighted square is coloured pale sulphur, lemon green. I enormously enjoy painting on the spot (stars) at night.
In the past they used to draw, and paint the picture from the drawing in the daytime. But I find that it suits me to paint the thing straightaway. It’s quite true that I may take a blue for a green in the dark, a blue lilac for a pink lilac, since you can’t make out the nature of the tone clearly.

Il fait très beau...... ✨💗💕
